Julie was born in Beaumont, Texas. Although she would later choose to focus on bodybuilding, at a young age she was very attracted by drawing. She was a nationally ranked body-builder and has won many trophies and awards. For Julie, work as a bodybuilder and model sparked a career in the arts. "I definitely always wanted to be an artist, but I never thought I'd be a professional" she has said. In 1989, she was one of Boris's model, and later married him. She turned professional in 1991. |

She's the fastest rising star in Comics. Collections of her paintings have appeared quickly in all sorts of livres, calendars, posters, trading cards, covers on the Heavy Metal magazine, Marvel magazine and other products. Her voluptuous, metallic artwork has graced the covers of numerous Comics magazines and she has also illustrated powerful original paintings for the renowned Marvel Masterpieces. |

Julie has said "Boris's fame is an incentive to excell" and she "doesn't want to look shabby next to anybody, and neither does he". "Boris taught me to paint, and learned me the technical parts. He helped me with finding the feeling to trust myself when I paint. You almost have to fall in love with your painting". |

Julie has a special talent which has made her name - her unique way of painting metal flesh with beautiful metallic surfaces in contrast with the softness of skin. She often poses as a model for Boris, and he is is also a model in her paintings. Julie and Boris often use bodybuilders - including each other - as models. Like Boris, Julie signs her work with a first name only. |
